Difference between Impact and non-impact printer.

Impact  Printer	Non-Impact printer
Text or images formed in contact of paper and the printer.	Text or images is formed without any physical contact of the paper and printer head.
It is noisy, slow and has poor quality output.	It is less noisy as compared to impact printer, fast and has high quality output.
It is normally cheap.	It is normally expensive as compared to impact printer.
It uses inked ribbon.	It uses ink spray or toner powder to print.
It is reliable, durable as far as print head is concerned.	Print head is less durable.
It can’t print graphics perfectly.	It can print graphics perfectly.
E.g, Dot Matrix, Daisy Wheel, Line printer etc.	E.g. Inkjet  printer, Laser printer, Thermal printer etc.
